i'v been considering posting for a while, but am finally getting around to it...
let's see how long i can keep it up.
school and work are keeping me crazy busy! so i'll try to get some pictures of the house and the progress we have made there when i get the chance..
we're working on a project in design III right now, which is designing a homeless shelter for teenagers. we went and looked at the haven for hope building site(google it!), where they are in the process of constructing residences for women and families, residences for men, a chapel, a food distribution center, a medical facility, and a transformational center for job training, etc.
anyways, so i started with my concept for the project, which is ascension. i want my building to reflect that, and to reflect the steps of the program that "lift" the teens out of homelessness. so here is my concept model... i thought it turned out fairly well. oh and the colors arn't just for looks... they reflect the cooling southeast breezes, and the chilly winter wind, the good and harsh light.
